Unfortunately for the members of the rock band Radiohead, the importance of workplace safety has become all too real.  A terrible incident in 2012, involving the collapse of the stage during a soundcheck, cost the life of their Drum Technician, Scott Johnson.

Since then, the band members have become advocates for strong and proper safety practices.  Unfortunately, the world-famous musicians continue to struggle with the reality that nothing can bring back their friend.  Shedding light on the overwhelming toll workplace incidents have.  With every incident, a ripple extends out and impacts many lives.

While we believe it will do a lot of good to have such visible voices speaking on the topic of workplace safety, it saddens us that a family suffers at the loss of their loved one.

We all have to be better and not leave things to chance.  Every person has a role to play in safety, and we all must live up to that role.  Let's choose to be proactive about our safety, and that of others.

Everyone should be able to go to work, do their job well and get home safe.
