The SayleSafety App Has Launched!
Members of the SayleSafety team attended a recent Nova Scotia Trucking Safety Association (NSTSA) event to demonstrate just how simple it is to customize the SayleSafety Hazard Assessment App to any organization in any industry.
Our team created a resource that can be easily rolled-out and will revolutionize the workplace hazard assessment / inspection process. Through our experience in the field, we saw a dire need for something that could make paper-based assessments more efficient, less cumbersome and more trustworthy. Some of the pain points of conducting hazard assessments in paper that our clients have expressed to us include, but are not limited to:
- Wasted time trying to recover a particular hazard assessment from a room full of filing boxes.
- Duplication of effort, entering assessment feedback from paper to digital.
- Field workers completing paper assessments after the task has already been completed.
- Trouble streamlining the consistency and quality on input on assessments.
- Struggle to keep up with (and review) submitted assessments in a meaningful way.
The SayleSafety App allows your people to shape safety – in a user-friendly way. Gone are the days of paper hazard assessments sitting on a pick-up truck dashboard – not to be faxed to head office until week’s end. Now, hazard assessments can be reviewed in real-time – without having to be in the same physical location as the person who completed it.
Let me paint a picture. You’re the foreman on a construction project. Your team has just left the site for the day, as their work would conflict with other critical work planned for that afternoon. Just prior to leaving the site yourself, you realize that another contracting team is digging a large trench on site. And, it occurs to you that your team is due back on site tomorrow at 5:30 AM. It’s mid-December and, as such, it will still be dark that early in the morning. They may not be able to see this change in the site landscape as they all arrive on location separately. So, you pull out your phone, open the SayleSafety App and take a photo of the trench, adding some detail on where it is located on site and you submit it to your team. Minutes later the report gets submitted back to you with all their signatures now included on the report. You can now sleep sound, knowing that every member of your team knows about the change to the site prior to arriving tomorrow, and they all have the visual information necessary to prevent a trip or fall incident. This is just one small example (that actually happened) of how the SayleSafety App allows safety to be shaped by people.
We are tired of living in a world where safety is behind the times, constricted to the limited capacity of paper – aren’t you? Let’s make use of the technology we now have at our fingertips, so we can continue to improve hazard assessment processes and better ensure the safety of people.
Everyone should be able to go to work, do their job well and get home safe. With the SayleSafety App, this belief can be realized.
