SayleGroup Expands the Safety Culture Movement at the Safety Services Nova Scotia Workplace Health & Safety Conference

Fri, 04/21/2017

SayleGroup was thrilled to participate in the Safety Services Nova Scotia Workplace Health & Safety Conference by delivering a presentation on Safety Culture.

Attendees heard SayleGroup CEO, Stephen Sayle, speak on how we should all stop searching for a Safety Culture, as we already have one. The real question, that stemmed from this discussion is, what is the quality of your Safety Culture?

Whether we’re tending to the state of our Safety Culture or not, it exists notwithstanding. And, in the case where we ignore our culture, it will undoubtedly work against us in everything that we do.

We can all agree that it would be ludicrous and foolhardy to ignore the state of our financial standing, business development, stakeholder relationships, project management and all other facets of guiding a sound and successful business. However, by not keeping the state of your Safety Culture in the forefront of the conversation, we are effectively placing all facets of our business in jeopardy – including those listed above.

Ensuring a strong Safety Culture is not just a countermeasure. Certainly, it does allow you to mitigate the risks that threaten all parts of your business – but it doesn’t just right the ship, it sets it on the most efficient course. It protects all facets of your business and maximizes their potential.

As discussed at the Conference, elevating and enhancing your culture takes commitment and dedication, but the process can be expedited and made simpler if you ensure your entire organization understands the beliefs, attitudes and practices necessary for a strong and sustainable Safety Culture. Our Safety Culture 100 online course imparts these integral learnings and establishes the beaten path toward a Safety Culture we can all be proud of.

SayleGroup would like to thank Safety Services Nova Scotia for hosting a great conference, St. John Ambulance for having us as their guest at the luncheon, and all other organizations who chose to attend this great event. By attending, you’ve demonstrated your passion for safety and identified yourself as a participant in the Safety Culture movement. Continue learning and improving so we can all go to work, do our job well and get home safe.
